Week 10.1

The assignment for the t-shirts and shorts project was to create eight marketing collateral pieces for your eco resort. The t-shirts and shorts are two pieces of clothes I created. The concept I use for this project is I first look on the internet to see how to draw shorts. I use two programs for the t-shirts and shorts project. The two programs I use are Illustrator and Photoshop. I use Illustrator to create the shorts, and I found a t-shirt template in Illustrator. I open the shorts up in Photoshop, and I use the paint bucket tool add color to the shorts. Then I open the shorts up in Illustrator to place the shorts on a presentation sheet, and I copy and paste the t-shirts on the presentation sheet with the shorts.

Next I chose the color dark green because I felt the color would be good to use for the t-shirts and shorts project. I use the color dark green for the word Botánico because I felt dark green would stand out on the t-shirts. Then I chose the front Harrington to use for the word Botánico, boy’s shorts and girl’s shorts because I wanted the words to look like vines. I had problems with the t-shirts and shorts project. The first problem I had with this project is finding shorts on the internet that I could use to trace over in Illustrator. The other problem I had with the t-shirts and shorts project is getting the rectangles around the t-shirts to come apart from the t-shirts. I solved the first problem by finally finding doll shorts I could use to trace over to make the shorts in Illustrator. I solved the second problem I had with this project by ungrouping the rectangles that were around the t-shirts; which I click on the rectangles individually to delete them. Later I went on Google to search for another Graphic Design blog, and I found a Graphic Design blog called thinkdesignblog.com. I look at an article called Inspiration-25 Different, Creative Site Designs written by Nick Pagano. The article talked about different ways to design websites. I like the way the author Nick Pagano showed different websites and how they are created.
